I find the hummingbird feeders with metal basins get rusty and that can’t be good for the birds. I’m looking into an all glass feeder which will be easier to clean, looks nice and won’t rust. I’m concerned about some of the designs of the glass feeders though. Some styles show that the glass “plug” doesn’t go all the way down into the bowl of the feeder and others the plug is hung upside down. Wouldn’t this leak nectar? Any words of wisdom will be appreciated.

I found the metal basins to turn to rust also.
The longer it’s being used, the rustier it gets inside with the sugar water mixture.
